Unfortunately, this is a feature not a bug to many. When I was growing up in the church, I can’t tell you how many times I heard the verse “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Looking back now, I can see this was indoctrination, pure and simple. They say that asking Jesus into your heart is a personal choice, but they absolutely will do whatever it takes to ensure their children make that choice and no other.
