Snowflakes

Tiny crystalled fractalled ice,
Delicate and beautiful,
Falling softly, clear to white,
Soft and strong, constant and mutable.

Every single one unique:
Magical and transitory.
Solo: fragile, feeble, weak —
Piled together: another story.

Every one designed with care,
Fashioned by an Artist’s brush
With a gift for splendid flair,
Sparkling ’til they are mush.
