Rich Mullins has been my favourite poet since I discovered his music when I was a teenager in the 90s. I've always found it interesting that "Awesome God" was/is his most popular song when it isn't even close to his best song. I never heard any whisper of a thought that he was anything but straight though, and when he died, he was revered as a martyr and saint in the Christian circles I was in.
