And on the morning after our last kiss
I’ll wake as always early in the day,
But will I have the will for my routine?
Or will I take a breath alone and sit
Abandoned, never more to feel your touch?
Against that time, each day I’ll seek your lips
And every night, I’ll listen to you breathe,
Delight in each excuse to hold you…
