I’ve seen people get incredibly offended when someone calls them out as racist, as if the word were an insult. I think there’s a huge disconnect there. If you’re more concerned that someone sees you as bigoted rather than facing your bigotry and dealing with it, you have a problem.
I’ve seen people whine and cry and make themselves out to be a victim because someone called them racist. Take the spotlight off yourself and think about other people for a minute. We all hold bigoted views, and we need to constantly deal with them in ourselves.
